Hi, I have 3 boars. They all live in one big cage separated. My youngest one, (a little under a year I’m assuming) has been making this sneezing noise. I first noticed it last night. I heard him do it 5 times, and caught it on video again this morning. I would appreciate some opinions. Is a vet visit necessary? Could he be allergic to something, sick, or blowing dust out of his nose? I’ll attach a video of the noise.

I use aspen for the bedding. I’ve been using it for about three weeks. I used to use paper bedding but it became too expensive. I cleaned their cage two nights ago and mixed the aspen with leftover paper bedding since I didn’t have enough. After that is when he started making this noise. When I first got him he was very sneezy. He was being treated with antibiotics. This was about 6 months back. The sneezing got a little better but never stopped. It sounds to me more like hes blowing air out but I’ve never found any info on it.

Edit: I’ve tried using fleece before. It just didn’t work for me. I didn’t have the time for spot cleans, and the fleece were messing up my washer (top loading washer).

It’s too brief to really tell. If you are worried I would get him checked out by the vet.
