Hiya,

I have spotted a shed for sale and I thought it might be good to put my hutch ( the p@h rose cottage ) in there and let the piggies have free range on the floor.

The shed has a felt roof and Lino floor. It was used to house bunnies whith a run attached so should be safe for the piggies.
It is £70, do you think that is a good price?

If I did get it any ideas on how I could decorate it?
I thought bunting, lights, chair, heating ...

Here is the link : http://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/113404925

I would also have a cupboard for hay, pellets, food etc ... So I wondered do any of you guys have a first aid kit, ( I don't * ) if so what do you have in it.
I have six weeks no school so it is the perfect time to get piggy essentials. Any links on the forum about first aid kits, sorry if I have missed them.

I haven't showed my parents this ad yet so any tips on how to break it to them or persuade them would be extremely helpful.

* Please don't judge me just because I don't have a first aid kit, I only have 2 piggies they have never got anything serious just mites and I have over 30 specialist vets within 10 miles of my house. I also have an emergency vet open out of hours.

Thanks for reading this!

OOh - I did see someone post a 1st aid kit - I'll have a look and see if I can find the post .

Thing I can think of are ...

1 ml syringes (for medication and syringe feeding )
5 ml syringes ( for taking urine samples )
nail clippers
styptic pencil ( actually, I don't have one - I prefer to have cornflour in stock - just in case)
probiotic

toiletries
mite shampoo
swarfega

... I'll let you know if I think of anything else

Yeah I started buying things for mine like avipro plus, syringes, recovery food, stuff like that.

Thanks both of you. Do you know were I can buy them from ?

Yeah like what @PiggyOwner said :) I've got gorgeous guinea and another shampoo, I guess it doesn't hurt to have fungal stuff either. I've got storage draws that are in my bedroom just for the piggies and one draw is for medical things.

That little Wendy house will be good for 2 piggies, I'm spoilt as I was given a 10x8 shed. ;)

haha they ought to have it when they have antibiotics, it helps their tummies because antibiotics can upset theirs (they upset mine too!). I use Avipro plus, our guinea's seem to like that one.

:D That shed would make a lovely home for your two piggies. How big is it? Does it say in the advert? Does the run on the side come with it? :hmm:

The run may come with it however I don't think so.
It says

Description
This Wendy house has been modified into a rabbit hutch. Good condition as it has Lino on the floor.
Thanks
:D It doesn't tell you what size it is. What sort of size is a Wendy House?
I don't know. Around 5x 5 ft?

Hi, we have a now rather worn out wooden wendy house which is 4 feet x 4 feet. Looking at the advert picture I think that the wendy house is no bigger than that. You may be better looking out for a conventional 6 x 4 shed. It wouldn't look as cute but would almost certainly have more room for your hutch plus floor space and would also be taller making cleaning, etc much easier. I would definitely ask the seller for the size as you may find that there would be little floor space left once your hutch inside.
Nick.

The wendy house looks great!

In my first aid kit I have:

Avipro
Pro-c
5ml syringes
1ml syringes
Oxbow recovery food
Styptic pencil
Scales
Jug
Nail clippers
Sharp scissors
Metacam (only used with advice from my vet)
F10 disinfectant

:D

Great play house :)
I've got solar lights on mine, hanging baskets & window box, both growing piggies favourite herbs (basil, parsley etc..).
As source of light for the inside for the darker winter afternoons, i'm also going to pop a radio in at some point.
I'd go for it with the decoration x bunting inside as the fabric stuff weathers badly. please let us see pics when your done, currently transforming the inside of our shed x

It's a nice playhouse :) how big is it though? Can't tell from the photos but is there space for the hutch and everything else you want to put in it? x

It looks in really good condition! Although I'm not sure the hutch would fit inside it? I think the whole thing has been modified into a hutch within itself. It's such a sweet little Wendy house though! :)
