I believe my female guinea pig, Mila, has ringworm. It started as a bald patch on her nose. After applying Beaphar anti-ringworm spray, it has turned into a red sore. Please see the attached picture for reference.

About five months ago, she had ringworm on her ear, and the Beaphar spray cleared it up within a week without turning red like this.

Does anyone have any ideas on this or recommendations on the best course of action?

Thanks

We cannot diagnose anything in any event but the picture isn’t all that clear.

But please do note that a beaphar product is highly unlikely to cure ringworm. We never recommend any form of pet shop product or home treatment. You can so easily use the wrong treatment.
Ringworm requires a very stringent regime of prescription strength treatment and thorough disinfection of the environment.
Spores can lay in the environment for a couple of years so without proper measures being taken you risk repeated reinfection.

Please see a vet for a proper diagnosis and the correct and appropriate prescription strength treatment.
