Is this normal dominant behaviour?

I put my two female piggies out in their run this morning, and my fat girl, Cinnamon, was trying to guard the grass from Pepper. There was the normal head shaking, stamping, etc. Then Cinnamon mounted Pepper from behind, as if mating. She did this twice. I know same-sex dogs do this as a dominant gesture, but what about guinea pigs?

If you are 100% sure that both piggies are female then I wouldn't worry. This is a sign of dominant behaviour. So long as things don't get nasty, I'd just leave them to get on with it :)

Gooood, thank you. I think Pepper would be pregnant by now if Cinnamon was a male -- we've had them for almost 2 years XD

LMAO you she would be by now eh?! If one or both are in season then they may mount. My girls dont but I have seen it many many times before with others.
