Is this noise a happy noise?

We think he is, sounds a bit like a chunter which our piggies do when their pottering about...:)) a happy sound.. Usually when a piggie doesn't like being stroked they push your hand away with their head.. xx

Funny you should say that as occasionally he does do that though not all the time it's like he's bumping my hand.

Listening to this again, maybe your right you can hear a slight squeak sometimes.. Maybe the piggie has not yet quite decided yet...?/
 
I'm familiar with this noise because both my boar Mitch & foster boar Rex do this when I'm cleaning them, especially Rex with his anal impaction.
 
How strange as to me this is a chatty noise like your piggy is just talking to you. Sophie does this when she is on my knee without me touching her and I always thought she was talking to me as she makes different noises when she is not happy. Your piggy is totally gorgeous!

I've never heard my sows make this noise at all, just the 2 boars.
 
That is a very good question. I have heard that noise too when stroking one of my boys. I used to have a boy that definitely did not like having his head touched and he would knock your hand out of the way. But that noise is him definitely telling you something ..... We need google translate!
 
I shall get him out again later and video him again, he loves snuggling into my fleecey blanket.
 
Another happy sound vote here, all of my piggies do this when they are out for cuddles, I know when they dont like something as they will yelp or run away, but this is a contented happy noise. x
 
I think that's a happy noise! My three boys all do it just walking around it's as if they're muttering something to themself. I'm not experienced but I would imagine if it was an unhappy noise he would have attempted to move out your reach and he hasn't done at all! Definitely loves those chin rubs! :)
