I bought 2 litter boxes to make their cages abit cleaner and make the hay not go everywhere but the sides on the trays are 10cm tall? they do look a little too high but i dont know? i dont have any bendy bridges of wood spare to make a 'raamp' any idea? xx
heres a picture...

It should be ok. But you could, cut out a little dip entrance, then round it off so it's not rough.

if you can't lowered it a bit for an entrance, then you could consider a paving brick as a help to get in - that will also help with the nails. ;)
Older piggies may struggle to get into this tray.

It is a struggle finding something the right size and depth to make a litter tray. I made two litter trays out of Correx, 70 X 40 cm x 6.5 cm deep. Trouble was the naughty pigs kept chewing them up! Had to keep patching them up! I couldn't find anything of that size on the Net. Cat litter trays were too small and deep. So now I just have two pieces of Vetbed with newspaper and a flat piece of Correx underneath to protect the carpet.

A paving brick sounds good too ;) both my pigs are around 1 year and 3 months so still young :) yeaah i agree. my pigs are in hutches so its not very big unfortunatley :( its the right size for just one pig but i would love to have a c+c or a hutch each for them in the future ;) ah diy things always seem to work out better than buyiing things. Also, inside the litter trays what could i put in it? I have, paper bedding (from Wilkinsons), woodshavings, newspaper and fleece? xx

Oh and some bathroom tiles that we dont use. But have like hundreds of ;) x

my tray is the same as that, but unless I have something heavier keeping it in place my Spud jumps in, catches the edge and all the hay tips up over him :lol!:

which is very funny, but annoying! I am going to cut out a bit as recommended as that would help stop Spud doing stunts.

Fixed it for spud, got a £1 Asda white washing up bowl and trimmed down two sides so the high sides are in the corner of the cage and the low ones have easy access for him - they cut really smoothly too - bargain! They are a great size too :)
