….. I was about to tidy this pot, ( there’s an azalea in there somewhere), but before I do - I think I struck gold and found …… chickweed! I’ve looked on the guide here and it seems to be it, but just before I give my precious girls something I’m not 100% on - would someone who knows just put my mind at rest?!

While I’m here - look at the nettles! Do they not sting guineapig’s lips or their wee bare feetsies? Do you just - give them a leaf and let them just eat it?!

Re nettles I tend to dry them as I’m never been sure about the stinginess !
It’s a good food to give them in the winter as a forage supplement

It looks like chickweed but I’m not 100% sure
I’m sure someone will confirm it for you Ruth

To me it also looks like chickweed and apparently the line of 'hair' running down the stem should be an indicator it indeed is. Did you ever see little white flowers in them?
Regarding nettles, most of the stingers are on the stem so the leaves should be ok. I haven't fed them to piggies but I once made nettle soup

Yes there are some little white flowers thanks! I’ve fed some to the girls and it is a big hit! Haven’t braved the nettles yet tho 🤣
