Hi!

I have two boars that are both about 3 years old (one is a few months older). So far they have been living in a cage that is made up of two of the biggest Ferplast cages we could find from the pet stores, because you can't buy C&C cages or anything really big enough in the country where I live. We just cut a wall off from each of them and attached the cages together. It all made up into a really big cage that the pigs definitely love, but is a real pain in the butt to clean properly.
So I made the decision to order a C&C cage. It should arrive tomorrow and I'm really excited, but I would just like someone smarter than me to confirm if it will be big enough for my piggies. The cage will be custom made from one 2x5 cage and one 2x2 cage, assembled into an L-shape cage. So altogether roughly 2 square meters of living space, all on one level.
My pigs usually get along well, haven't had any big fights ever, but they do annoy each other sometimes (as is to be expected with 2 boars in one cage). So I would just like to be sure that this cage would in fact be big enough and able to provide the privacy they need. I really want them to get along.
(Sorry for any mistakes in my English, I'm trying my best)

Hi! First of all welcome to the forum! I'm sure you will find your stay most welcoming! :wel: Yes, that cage will be just right! The recommended size for two boars (male piggy), is a 2x5! But bigger is always better! I have my two sows (female piggies) in a 2x5 but I personally would like more space, my piglets are spoiled! :luv::))
Can't wait to see photos of your piggies and their cage.
Oh and don't worry about the English thing, you're doing fine!

I will post a pic of the cage when I have assembled it, but meanwhile I can show some photos of my two lovely boys :)
This is Sidrun: (means lemon in my language). He was only in that small basket for a moment, I like to track their weight just in case and that's the only way I can get them to stay still haha

And this is Nidhogg (when he was a baby, I don't have any new pics on the device I'm using right now)

And this is something they used to do a lot when Nidhogg was smaller than Sidrun. Nidhogg cuddled up under Sidrun, who didn't seem to
mind it. Sometimes they would sleep like this. Nidhogg is too big to do that now haha

Hello and welcome to the forum. Beautiful boars. An L shape 2x5 with a 2x2 will be plenty big enough for your boars. They will love the extra space, as the c and c will be much wider for them, as well as being longer. They are lucky boys to be getting such a fabulous cage. Look forward to seeing it once you’ve built it and they are in it.

Yes big enough, I had a 2 x5 with 2 lofts of 1x2 for my boys. They were fine in that, the key I found was alone space (mine fell out before eventually being ok together).

So the cage arrived today! We needed to move them to another room for the cage to fit. I just put them in the cage. They are a bit startled by the change of environment, but are starting to explore. I hope everything goes well. I will take photos later, because I don't want to scare them with the camera right now, there's enough new things around them without it haha
I hope they are not going to fight over the territory
