Is this bloody or oxidised urine?

I have just found this orange wee in the guinea pigs cage. Is it bloody or oxidised urine? I don’t know which piggy has done it but they all seem fine. I’m very worried

I occasionally see this in Percy and Peppers house. I was worried the first time. But nothing ever comes of it. So I think it’s ok. I just keep a closer eye on them for a few days.

Thank you. I have just found another two (the other one is in the corner on the right hand side) where Edward was laying so it is either him or Elizabeth. Both piggies are currently eating hay

Yes. When I see a patch there are always a few of them. Never just one. So maybe it’s something they’ve eaten?

Quite possibly. They did have some rich grass that my nephew fed to them today. I’m not sure but it’s reassuring to know that your piggy has left several orange patches too

When Miss Noodle had blood in her urine it was very red and obviously blood, I would say that looks like oxidised wee.
I was unsure, to begin with, which had done it so just put them on puppy pads to be sure.

I think it’s just oxidation, it looks far too orange for blood. Usually the newspaper under the hay in their cages are that colour, I personally would not worry Claire

If you can get them to pee on a white towel so you can see it fresh and then watch it darken you might feel more reassured. Them stains don't come out though!

Thank you everyone. I am going to keep a close eye on Edward and Elizabeth and hope it's just oxidised urine. I have come home tonight and there are no more orange wees x
