I was wondering if it was possible that Pepsi (neutered male) would be able to live with another male? There are two guinea pigs at my local rescue, but both are males. One is 1 year old, one is 1.5 years old.

I know a sow would be better but Pepsi really needs a friend...any chance he'd get along with another male?

i rehomed a male to live with another boar and they were both 1 year old.it took a few weeks but they are now best of friends

it is better if you only try pepsi with one boy not both as with 3 piggies two piggies can gang up on the one and have read boys are such unpredicable creatures it would be best to only try one. have you tried other rescues? as if there is a rescue lets see UK are in miles so say there is a rescue 50 miles away from you people in the UK on this forum could do a piggy train for you where one person picks them up drops them of to another person who drops them of to another who drops the girls off to you. i am in oz but if you go to the rescue section of the forum and just ask if there are any girls needing homes and would memebers be prepared to do a piggy train you may be surprised :o :o :o good luck and hugs to pepsi :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Yeah, I'd definitely only get one. My only worry is that Pepsi is 4...would that hurt his chances of bonding with a male?

The next closest rescue is in Detroit, which isn't that far but takes us like 30 minutes to get to. And then there are rescues with piggies in the middle of MI, but they're like an hour away.

I have paired a 4 year old with a young boar in the past and he was fine, the youngster gave him a new lease of life infact

just wondering how pepsi is? and whether you got him a friend yet or are still looking for one? perhaps in the mean time give pepsi many cuddles and give him a teddy to cuddle up with and if possible bring his cage inside! sending hugs XXXXXX.
