Hi there,

So I've just bought a plastic pop up pen for my two pigs. They are usually in a 4x2 c&c with loft however me and the OH don't really fancy dismantling it of occasions when us and the pigs are off on their holibobs. (Not at the same place! My parents Are very excited to be looking after the grandpigs). Hence buying the plastic play pen. However I have noticed that the pen is about a sq meter smaller than a 2x3 c&c cage in sq meter terms.

Obviously, this isn't going to be permanent and the pigs won't be in there for more than 2weeks. Any longer than that and we will consider dismantling the cage. I just wondered whether this temporary housing will cause problems for our two sows. (And potential future husboar)

I doubt very much that our wussy, drama queen subordinate pig Bonnie would cause A fight but she might get pushed around a bit. Just wondered whether I should consider getting an extension.

Obviously the bigger the better, but smaller is okay for temporary housing.

As long as you think the smaller space won't cause problems then it'll be okay.

I wouldn't risk my current two in anything smaller than a 2x6 as they're little monsters, but my previous ones were fine in a 2x4 for a week.
