i dont like that you can see all the pellets with fleece, i also cant figure out how to clean tthe pellets off properly.

Idk about newspaper as a sole bedding, I use a bit at the bottom of my litter box.

As for cleaning anything off fleece before you wash it, shake the fleece. I take my fleece, towels out to the side of my house and shake all the poop, food, liter etc off. Every once in a while you need to remove the pile of crap you leave but it makes good compost.

Newpaper alone isnt ideal. You will probably find that it will need to be changed on a daily bases due to being urinated on. Have you thought about other types of bedding, hay, straw, megasorb, carefresh (i see is in your avatar)?

with the size of my c&c cage that would be really expensive to do a marketed bedding. i think ill stick with the fleece it was really easy to clean yedterday.

I use Finacard in my 6x2 c&c cage and it is working out okay so far. The urine gets absorbed well and I spot clean wet patches and bits of poop. It is £13.99 for a huge bale and free delivery, I think it works out cheaper than Carefresh,

I haven't tried fleece for the guinea pigs yet, my 2 boys do a lot of poops so not sure I could keep up with picking it all up!
