Hello I am having a problem with my older piggie who lost her cage mate about 5 months ago but I got a new one Maggie and she dose not like her. And Luna the older one is not acting as happy and she is staring at that wall should I be concerned

How do you know Luna does not like Maggie? Do they squabble?

My concern would be the description of Luna staring at the wall, is she hunched up? Have you weighed her to check she is not ill? Even if she didn't like Maggie, starring at the wall would alarm me somewhat.

I would keep a close eye on her, do check her weights daily (if you can of course) but at the same time of the day, although one would always urge on the side of caution and perhaps have her given a once over by a vet. Good news she's running around - that sounds promising.

I agree that a vet check is needed. Facing the wall worries me somewhat as it can be a sign of pain. Great that she is running about now though.

Bless her. My squeak also lost her cage mate around 5 months ago. For a while she was the same.. Very withdrawn for a while and stayed in her bed, didn't want her usual cuddles.
I got her a friend a month afterwards which didn't seem to help but recently she is warming to her and I often catch them snuggled up together. She seems a lot happier now but it did take a while.

Hope Luna feels better soon
