I went into my room and found my guinea pig under his hay, I know some guinea pigs like to play in their hay but I've never seen him do that before. Is he just playing or could he be cold? My room is set to 68 degrees, should I make it a bit higher?

That is the temperature I keep my house at too. Piggies do like to hide, sleep, and play in the hay. My pigs are always in the hay while one of my foster piggies never hides in it. Your piggy is probably just playing in the hay.

Over here in the UK we get very variable temperatures - my house is an old one and can be draughty! We bought something called a 'snuggle-safe' heat pad which you warm up in the microwave and tuck under a fleece or blanket (they come with a cover but they are quite hard to resist chewing). Some days you can see the pigs huddle round or try to get in the snuggle tunnel that the heat pad is under. Other days they aren't bothered. Although my piggies are mainly indoor it seems they still choose to be cosy sometimes 🥰
