Hello everybody!

So today I am making my first thread, so apologies if I have done it wrong or I have put it in the wrong place.
A couple of weeks ago I had two male guinea pigs dumped on my door step! I have taken them to the vets and had them fully checked out, and surprisingly they are in good condition. I have decided to keep them as they are so beautiful I could not let them go, so I have recently brought an indoor cage and a 6 by 4 feet outdoor run. I was so excited to but the cage that I forgot to ask if it would be suitable, and if is it not, how could I make improvements? *The cage I have brought is the savic Nero 4 cage, I was going to insert a picture but I can't work it out!
Many thanks, Poppie xx

Poor babies being dumped like that-though it sounds as though they've landed in a home full of love! I have looked up the cage and it doesn't seem too small for starters though an upgrade to a C and C or Midwest in the future might be a good idea. However if they're let out to free roam etc regularly then I see no reason why you should rush out now and extend with worry or being cruel. My cage isn't as big as I'd like and I too am looking into getting a Midwest or making my own. Can't wait to see pics of the little guys and Welcome to the forum.

Thankyou!
Yes they will be let out every day as long as the weather is good, can you recommend any toys or food? I currently have two bendy bridges, a bendy tunnel, a pigloo and sea grass balls, I feed them pets at home nuggets, along with unlimited hay, veggies and fresh water. Yes, I will try c&c grids as soon as possible!

Just as a Midwest user, I love the Midwest and it is really easy to put together.

For toys, try stuffing the cardboard tubes in loo rolls (after all the loo roll is used obviously) with hay. My two love nosing those around.

Yes I also suggest anything cardboard like toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and they sell wider cardboard tubes in pets at home. My piggy Mo also has a bunch of willow sticks that he'll chew and toss around his cage. And I got him a plastic ball with a rattle in it which he loves to roll tho I always supervise him with it and never leave it in his cage. I haven't tried it but paper bags are apparently a firm favourite of piggies. :)

Awwhh! Tommorow I will defo have to do some diy! One of my piggies is also called Mo, and the other is Bolt! ;)

I would love to send you all pictures but I can't work it out, lol ;) how do you do it?

I am using an iPhone 6s as my computer is currently broken, thankyou though!
