Hi all.

Had our little piggies x 2 for nearly two weeks now. I've re-laid out the hutch three times since then trying to get the perfect configuration. Originally had one hideaway but have two now so my girls can get some space. They're both in the bedroom bit. I've also got three 'litter tray' areas. I've introduced these after observing where they wee and poo the most. This way my nearly-seven-year-old will find it easier to do the daily clean up job. It was tricky for here finding sections of newspaper to roll up, etc. I hoping this way she can remove a tray, empty it, replenish with wood shavings and pop it back. Less mess for me to monitor! (I'm doing all the cleaning out at the mo.) also, after some modifications using Perspex to prevent falls we've opened the hatch to downstairs. Piggies still very wary though they've been down a couple of times.

I'd love some feedback on whether it's all too much or if you think the space is adequate?

Thanks y'all ;) xx

Personally I don't think it is, just make sure they are room to run around all the objects. Perhaps keep an eye on them for a day or two and see if there is anything they don't use.

I've removed a tube on the lower level for maximum running space. I'll definitely keep watch.... It's all I do! They're proving to be a massive distraction! I'm getting nothing done through gazing at them hoping they pop out of their hide holes! Besotted! My poor kids are deprived of attention!:lol!:

At least keeping one tube back will make it last a bit longer! Hehe :))

Absolutely! In search of a second hand wooden garden run for better weather so will need one lol! I'm going to be broke at this rate! I can't stop treating my piggies.... What's happened to me?! I'm not this soft with my kids!

Haha - they get under the skin of the toughest of us. Hence my piggies moving from a hutch in the garden to living freerange in the house...on my carpet... In fact my lounge is covered in piggy toys and hideys!

And poop! Poop on the carpet! And you can't forget the dangleberries on the carpet of course! :))

My other half would never let me go that far!

However, I'm kinda thinking their hutch would have to be the 'summer retreat' and they need to come in for snuggles in the winter.... (Not the garage as planned!) We'll see! Lol.
