so i got a hitch a little while ago when i only had 1 boar but now i have two and not sure if it’s big enough, i’ve attached pictures and dimensions to the post and pictures of my boys. they seem to have an ouch room to eat and sleep so maybe it’s big enough. just want to make sure they have everything perfect.

Unfortunately that does fall under the recommended cage size for two boars. Bear in mind that the measurements are external and the internal space will be smaller. You are really looking for a minimum 140cm x 60cm living space for two boars (additional floors don't count - it's one flat run space that counts)

:agr: I'm afraid it isn’t big enough. The more space you can give boars the better as too small a cage and it can cause arguments and fall outs. And I will reiterate that Lady Kelly says ‘minimum’ of 140 x 60. Some boars will be fine with 140x60 but some definitely need more than that. My two boars originally had 140 x 70 but I had to make it even bigger to ease their teenage tensions.

Cage Size Guide

If they’re indoor piggies, then you could do like @anyar.dris and add an area (using play pen or c&c grids) to which they have access 24/7.

I have an indoor two-tier cage with a ramp and mine is 150cm (length) but I can't remember the other measurements. I would like a C&C cage as they look really good, but the cage I got was a gift and very expensive so I would feel bad to have said no and we don't have the room in my house unfortunately unless we got rid of the cage. Also, what I do is for most of the day is put my piggies in a playpen that is really big and spacious and they are only in their cage when they sleep. However, as they get bigger and if any problems arise then I guess I have the space to separate them as I would just have to remove the ramp, but I would only every separate if one was injured. From what I am told it is normal for two boars to argue etc, but whatever you can do to minimize any potential problems is good. My two baby boars will only be four months next month, but so far it has gone good (fingers crossed). I have read/researched/been given advice that the more space the better so if you can I would let them roam around the living room, but remember to block out any holes, access to wires and any other dangerous hazards that could cause harm
