I have provided pictures. He weighs 1.3kg. He was a 2x10 cage he shares with cage mate and I increase it for foot time so plenty of excercise time and feed him same amount as cage mate but cage mate weigh significantly less but not underweight . I feed them 1 romaine lettuce leaf a segment of red bell pepper a chunk of cucumber and celery stick and a teaspoon of pellets everyday . Is this too much. Thank you very much. Also is it normal for the whites of the eyes to be a bit grey. I took my guinea to W 247 emergency vet recently and she said his eyes are healthy and normal but they are a bit grey so it made me worried I have attached pictures.

Weight isn’t an indicator of what is healthy for each piggy and there is a very wide range of healthy weights -800-1600g being within the average range but with weights either side of that still being healthy.
You need to check heft to find out if he is a good size for himself.

The guide below explains heft

Weight - Monitoring and Management

(My two boys weigh different amounts)

Diet wise -
Unlimited hay
one cup of a variety of veg per pig per day (lettuce, cucumber, green bean, coriander, bell pepper being safe daily veggies)
One tablespoon of pellets per pig per day

Long Term Balanced General And Special Needs Guinea Pig Diets

With that said, I would think it highly unlikely your piggy is overweight. Over feeding pellets would be the key way a piggy would become overweight and you are definitely not over feeding pellets if you are giving one teaspoon

thank you for the very helpful response.

He looks like a lovely boy 🥰 My boy is 1.35 kilo and has been for a few months now. He used to be 1.4 kilo and I fretted when he lost that 50g even though there's plenty of pig left! He's getting old now because he's 5. I think his weight changed because we found a good treatment regime for his arthritis and so he's moving about more. They do worry us don't they!

My boy Micah weighs over 1300g and he is perfectly healthy.
Like humans, piggies come with different ‘normal’ weights.
He’s gorgeous - I love his colour
