I’m a new owner to a guinea who is a male and is 1 years old. I got him five days ago. He is starting to come out and eat, drink, cuddle, play. Here’s what I need clarification, he doesn’t make any noise but when he is in his house, his head looks as if he is twitching? I heard that when they do that they are mad or some way of them of being happy?

Hi!

I am very sorry, but could you please upload a video of the head twitching on a public setting elsewher (we don't have a video upload facility as we are entirely sponsored by voluntary member donations) and then copy it into the thead.

Unfortunately I can only make any assessment on the basis pf what you are telling me and that is simply not giving me enough of a handle for whether what you are describing is normal or not. Any twitching is not normal but what you describe may not be something I would label as twitching. Unless I have an independent source to see what is going on I can't decide whether it is a health or a human perception issue. I hope that you can understand that. There are unfortunately some major drawbacks to online sites without direct access to your guinea pigs.
