My guinea pig is a little over a year old now. And he has always been acting very off in my opinion. Never close to the other guinea pigs. And runs away when they come close. I haven’t thought much about it until recently. When I come to the cage, the other piggies usually come to me. But he sits a bit back in a corner. He does come when I let him know it’s food. But he always seems to bite my fingers whenever I feed them. He never runs away when I try to reach for him to pet him. But he runs away once I touch him. Today I had my hand in the cage to pet the others, I then held my hand infront of him. He didn’t come to me. It was as if he did not see my hand. Because he was looking around for it. And once his nose touched my hand, he ran away. Is there anything I can do

a vet will need to confirm whether your piggy is blind, but in terms of not being close to the other piggies and running away from them, the fact you’re keeping three boars together could be the reason for this. Boar trios don’t often work. Even if it doesn’t result in a full on fight, underlying bullying can be a problem or simply being an outsider - trios often result in a two and one situation occurring (even in sows)
