Hello! I was wondering if my daily routine and guinea pig care is good?

I have two boys, Sam and Frodo. In the morning when I wake up I give them a handful of pellets(oxbow, adult guinea pig food. they are 6-8 months old) and prepare a yogurt bucket of chop, the chop includes(If I have it): bell peppers, romaine lettuce, carrots, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, kale and a bit of spinach, also a tiny bit of beets, apple and cherry tomatoes. Then I feed them a third of it when I make it (around 8 in the morning) a third of it in the afternoon(around 3pm) and the rest around 10pm before I go to bed.

Everyday I give them floor time in my room and block off all areas with cords, put their hides, food and water out with them and hang out with them for an hour at 8 in the evening. Also while they are out I spot clean their cage.
Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks for letting me know! :tu:

They sound very well looked after. Just want to make sure that they are given hay, as hay is the most important part of a guinea pigs' diet?

Sounds fab! I worry about how much fresh veg to give and at mo mine don’t seem to be eating the pellets much, I have got Burgess excel, perhaps I need a better brand?

And I worry I don’t give enough variety! I give corn on cob, kale, peas, carrots. They weren’t keen on broccoli or tomatoes or apples. I have given coriander and basil too

I wouldn't worry about that! The variety is great. If you ever have extra veggies laying around your fridge you can look up if it's okay for them, switch it up a bit, but what you give them now seems fine! I saw from a youtuber cherry tomatoes are really good for them but mine don't eat them, and I only give them small amounts of apple cause I heard it's not that good for them to have a lot. I would try giving them some lettuce as well, they LOVE it!

That’s great, my Guineas as well would like to move in! Do you do pig sitting?!
Depending on where you are! lol
If someone where looking for guinea pig sitting around me I may consider it but no, not atm!

If you do decide to give them lettuce DO NOT give them Iceberg as it isn't that good for piggies!
Yeah, whoops! I have had bunnies before and other rodents, it can't be given to most or any rodent. Sorry I didn't mention it!
