hi guys! i just put chocolate and caramel together to start their bonding and these are the things that are happening so far. i can't record because moving too much makes them freeze up, so i hope you can gather good or bad from what i can give you!

caramel (my bigger piggie) has been sitting next to him and sniffing his butt. chocolate is accepting it most of the time.

there is no chasing, but a LOT of loud chattering.

chocolate is chewing on caramel's poop?(LOL)

there has been no humping whatsoever.

at one point, it LOOKED like caramel was trying to nibble on chocolates ear.

they tend to sit next to eachother and quietly talk.

it's been about 20-30 minutes. they have both also eaten from my hand.

are these good signs? do you guys think i can put them in the cage together tonight?

much love!

EDIT: caramel is DEFINITELY nibbling on chocolates ear, while chocolate just sits there and grooms himself.

Ear grooming is friendly dominance behaviour. It translates as 'I want to you to be part of the group I am leading'.
Piggy washing next to another new piggy means 'I want to be your friend'.

You can find these and many more socially interactive behaviours illustrated with pictures and explained in this guide here: Bonding: Illustrated Dominance Behaviours And Dynamics
