Is it safe to knit/crochet things for inside a piggle cage? Beds, hammocks, cosies, hideaways, etc? If I used cotton yarn rather than man-made would that be OK?
I am useless at sewing, but can crack out the needles or hook and whip something up as long as it won't put my girls at risk.

I think the risk with this would be that knitted/crochet items is that they have gaps in them that they could get their feet/toes stuck in. I suppose that ones with very very small holes/close knit would be OK? Although I don't know how they'd stand up to piggy pee!

I also was thinking about knitting/crochetting something for the cage and I think it is a safe idea, why not? the only problem is that cotton doen't dry fast; it is like a towel, it remains wet (I use towels into their hideys especially during their floor time). A good project would be a little house or a little bed with the lower part (the one where they sleep) made of fleece and washable.

I would also worry about toes getting caught, but there was someone on here who used to crochet the most amazing stuff for her piggies.
Let me see if I can find the post....

I agree with rome_italy. I'm a regular knitted but can see it getting wet and stinky fast. And outer-knit/inner-fleece might work better.
