Is it ok to tumble-dry fleece? I know you can't use fabric softener so I was just wondering :)

Also.... is it ok if my guinea pigs eat newspaper? They seem to enjoy chewing it and I can't really stop them!

I think it's fine to tumble dry fleece, although I've never found I've needed to - it comes out the washer relatively dry.
It's also okay for piggies for piggies to chew a little newspaper, the ink isn't toxic - but it's better if they have cardboard to chew on instead, mine love chewing cardboard boxes and toilet roll tubes slit through the middle :)

It is safe to do, but when I take my fleece out of the washing machine it is quite dry already, I just leave it on the clothes horse or washing line then it's done.

I have found previously that tumble drying fleece causes it to shrink more

I tumble dry mine all the time. It does cause static in fleece alone but if put in with some towels it seems to stop that. At the moment I'm making use of my conservatory and popping them out on the maiden to roast in there during the day :)
