Is it more important to be beautiful, clever or "nice"....any thoughts?

I got where I am now by being clever..... but I am also nice which helped!
In reality you can get futher in life by all of those things - Bill Gates is a very clever business man, Mother Teresa was a very nice person and Jordan has done well by her looks.
I have to say, I don't like the fact that so many people seem to get through life because of how they look - it puts too much emphasis on appearance, in my opinion. I believe that being a good person with a good head on your shoulders (not necessarily academically 'clever') should be rated more highly than looks. The world of celebrities it seems to only ever be about looks but I am sure in other walks of life (which admittedly are less visable as they are not on the front of OK Magazine) being nice and clever are the way to go!

I would not mind being beautiful as I don't feel that I am. I'm also not particularly clever I don't feel but I guess I am "nice" as I like to speak to people and I'm more often polite than anything else and I believe that being friendly to everyone is a good personality trait to have and there is nothing that grates on me more than being with rude, ignorant people who think they are "it" and it is their right to be rude etc.

I think that I'm a nice person and i think that is one of the most important things, i am a people person and i love talking and meeting people
I got where I am by being "clever and nice" - clever enough to speak your language well enough to get a job here, and nice enough to convince my boss that I am the sort of person just right for caring for the elderly.
Um, I suppose looks helped a bit aswell though, as I wouldnt have come here if it hadnt been for a particular englishman who fell in love with me ;-)

Beauty is only skin deep and doesn`t last ! Its whats underneath that counts. You don`t have to be clever to succeed, but just too be nice counts in everyway. The old saying in" what you sow you reep" says it all for me ! Diane
