i have bought some fitch, just wondered if it would be soft enough and absorbent enough to use two weeks after post neutering?

I have used the fitch and it seems very soft, not so absorbent,so may use megasorb under the fitch to increase the absorbency.trying to carry 20kg bag up the stairs was a pain,The bag the Fitch comes in is not very strong and split,so fitch is all over the carpet !

Won't the loose bedding get into the surgical site?
When I got my boys neutered, I was using white towels and change them 3 to 4 times a day.
I was told it's good to use white towels to monitor bleeding.

I love Fitch! I always find it very absorbent as I spot clean every 1-2 days. The pieces are quite big so I don't think it could irritate any wound.

I used it with several post op Guineas and it was fine. For the first few days use fleece but Fitch I found was fine after, and I'd be far too worried about dust getting in the wound than paper.
