Is Dish Washing A Water Bottle Safe?

So, one of my guinea pigs decided it'd be funny or a good idea to pee on their water bottle spout! Luckily, they have two water bottles so they're fine for now but I went to go wash it real hard, but noticed some actually got into the water bottle and not just on the spout. I tried putting water in it and dumping it back out, but it still stayed there. So, is dish washing it safe? It is a Kaytee glass / chew-proof water bottle.

I assume so, but dont use soap or anything else, just water.

i use baby milton to sterilise my water bottles once a week.

You could als try paper towel trick where you stuff the bottle with a couple of sheets of kitchen roll, fill it with water, put you finger over the top and shake. Should clean off anything stuck to the insides of the glass.

As for the spout, water should drain thru that. I use a pipe cleaner to hold the metal balls back when I want to run water right thru.

Putting rice in the bottle with warm water and shaking it will clean the inside amazingly well. Just make sure to be sure you remove all the rice from bottle
