I noticed late last night that Biscuit didn't seem to be opening her right eye properly. This morning it still doesn't seem quite right - though she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, ate her breakfast veggies and is happily munching hay as I type this. I'm not feeling good, recovering from Covid, and can't work out if I'm imaging it or if there's something wrong. Please can someone advise? (the first photo is her left eye for comparison)

Hi

I am very sorry for the bad timing. Any potential eye injury needs a hands-on vet check with a special dye under uv light to assess the full extent of an injury. There seems to be some ulceration from a possible hay poke starting to form at ear end of her eye when you look very closely. The eye looks rather sore.

Please call the clinic and discuss with them what can be done.

Thank you both. I've just phoned the vet. They can't see her today but I've got an appointment for her tomorrow morning. Will she be ok until then? I explained exactly what was wrong and the receptionist said she will be ok to wait until then.

I’m glad you have an appointment booked for tomorrow. Ideally I would want her to be seen today as the sooner you start treatment, the better but I appreciate it’s Saturday and a lot of vets either close early or aren’t open at all. She should be fine to wait until tomorrow under the circumstances x
