Well at last Edward and Mrs Simpson are in the same room, we put their cages together so one end of each is touching (this is the only way we could do it ) then we waited to see what would happen.Mrs Simpson got excited at once and was standing near Edwards cage and sniffing like mad, at one point she stood and waved her feet around as if trying to get his attention, meanwhile Edward was sat in his hay box chewing hay and starring into space ! But at last he lifted his head gave a big sniff then ran over to Mrs Simpson took one look at her and ran off.:hb: After some time he built up enough courage to go and have another look, did a rumble thing leaned forward and licked her face. Since then they spend all their time as near each other as they can get, chewing the bars and Edward rumbles a lot.Does all this sound normal and is there any thing else we can do to help them bond before they meet?

No, the signs are all normal now and looking very good!

Rumbling is wooing, so Edward has certainly found his mojo now! Face licking is the equivalent of a piggy kiss. You couldn't want for more that the two wanting to be as much together as possible! :)

Oh that is good news, we are new to all this so its all a bit of a worry so glad the signs seem good. Thank you

Oh, that all sounds very promising indeed. My neutered boar sow pair had a period of separation before introduction and spent a lot of time doing just what you have described. They dragged their beds to be up against the bars next to each other, so cute.
