I currently have 2 piggies but i want some room just in case i fall in love with another 1 (it is likely). So would a 4x3 be ok or do you reckon a different size as i am planning to build my c&c cage next week. As i am then free of my assignments. Has anybody got any pics of a 4x3 just so i could actually see the size.

thanks x

Yes, it will be.

The minimum recommendation is 2x5 ft = 10ft sq.
3x4 ft is 12 ft sq; which is over the minimum.

This is my 4 x 3

now with a 1 x 3 hayloft

although they've decided they rather have the litter trays downstairs and a hayrack upstairs. So my hayloft should more accuratley be called 'piggy chill zone'. :(|)

I have 2 pigs in there (but maybe 3 by tomorrow night...sshhh)

I love your cage! :)
Do the piggies find it ok getting up that slope?
Ive got quite a big room but I'm still debating on a 5x2 or 4x3.
Which one gives the piggies overall more space.
I'm excited for you on getting a new pig! :)
You most definitely have to post some pics lol
I noticed you use fleece. How often do you change it and what do you put under?

Sorry for the hundred questions lol

Awww I love the first pic of the piggies pearing out of their hidey hole :))
Fab set up! I'm building mine tomorrow! :))

I have an approx. 4' X 3.5' run (attached to a hutch with a run underneath) and I have three piggies in it, and I find it big enough for them :) (I also have another one with two girls, but thinking of adding 1 or 2 more baby pigs.)

They're outdoors, but if they were indoors then I'd give them a little bit of floortime too, or make the C&C cage a little bigger so they didn't need more exercise just to make it a bit easier :)

Whatever you feel is right for them when you make it, will be the right size :)

Questions are fine. :)

The slope is fine, it's lined with correx with a towel or fleece on top. They went up as soon as I put it up and they love running up and down. I've seen others use just 2 grids to make a ramp (not overlapped though) and manage fine.
5 x 2 gives 10 grids of floor space, 3 x 4 makes 12 grids floor space so is therefore bigger. It doesn't have to be rectangle though, you can always make an L shape if it fits the space you have available better.
I now have washable incontinence pads to use under the fleece. These are a bit pricey but they smell less and last longer. I change the fleece every 2-3 days and pads every second pad change. The litter trays have megazorb and hay in. I change the megazorb everytime I change the fleece and the hay every day. You can use towels under the fleece as well but need to change these every 2-3 days depending on the smell and saturation. Also poop patrol daily. That sounds like a lot of hassle but once you have a routine going it's pretty straightforward and means they can have the bigger space. :)

Thanks :)
I love your set up i think I'm going to build it first and then see how much it actually takes over my room and then adapt it if need be.
Ye i found on amazon you can get the incontinence pads for 8.50 which isnt too bad. I would probrably get 4 thou as i would need 2 in at a time.
It does sound like a lot of work but seeing my piggies happy will be worth it.
Thank you for the pics

I got £8.50 inco pads though Amazon- 75 x 90cm. To cover a 4 x 3 I use 2 full pads (and another 2 for a second change) then have cut and sewn another into 4 strips (I need 2 strips to cover the gap that's left). So I needed 5 in total. Hope that makes sense.
But you can make your C & C whatever shape/ size you want, so you make it to fit with the size of the inco pads.
:)

ye i have ordered 4 pads for now so i will see how it goes..
I really hope that my costco has the cubes because my correx has already come!
