Is a 152x75cm cage big enough for 3 girls?

Considering 120x60 is recomended for two i *think* so, but dont quote me on it. Hopefully other will be along soon

That cage is 5 x 2.5 ft = 12.5 sq ft which is a good size for 3 piggies, 10 sq ft is the minimum

Yes, for 3 girls this would be the minimum size - and the bonus with this cage is you could make a great mezzaine area by covering the mesh shelf with correx with an edge Then modify the ramp too, they would have a great hay loft area.

There is some pictures on the forum of this cage modified.

I'm on my phone so can't post a link but look in the. Housing sticky above this section 'members gallery - commercial cages'. :)

Have you considered the liberta 150 from pet planet its on sale at the moment? Its 150 long also. I'm think of orderin myself

I have this cage and it's a really nice, good quality one. I don't use the upper level, but there's plenty of room for my two. However when I tried introducing 2 more there wasn't enough space and they kept annoying each other. It would probably work for 3 girls who get on well though. The trick is to use smallish hidey boxes so they don't take up too much floor space.

I have the liberta rabbit 150 for my two girls who are a bit grumpy with each other from time to time so I wouldnt put another one with them but it is a great size. I just stuffed some vetbed into the top bar of the wire ramp and I line the shelf just with newspaper, towel and fleece as the rest of the cage and they whip up and down it no problem. Actually, mine are so bolshy they will even use the ramp when its just wire mesh much to my horror! when I was cleaning them once I saw them use it both up and down. The vetbed never slips out as I fold it over and it jammed in and they can grip it nicely.

I have this cage, it's massive! Currently modifying it to go in my new (heated & insulated) shed. I keep more than 3 in it but my pigs get on extremely well :)

i used to have 3 of those cages - but because i wanted to 'stack' them to fit more piggies in i bought the trixie version in them. I covered the wire mezzanine level with vinyl flooring (lino) and cable tied vetbed/carpet to the wire ladders - none of my 10 have ever had any problems with the ladder as it's not very big. All their food/hay is kept on the upper level as the vinyl flooring can easily be wiped clean and the bottom level is lined with vetbed/fleece and is where all their toys/hideys go :)

When i had a homecheck carried out by the RSPCA that particular cage passed with flying colours as being adequate for 3 (in my case i had 2 girls and wanted to adopt a neutered boy)

I have the same size cage for 2 of my boys.
They are quite active and i feed them on the upper level.
I covered the ramp with carpet and they run up and down all the time.
I don't think it would be big enough for 3 unless they had lots of floor time as well maybe.

When it comes to boys - i'd be inclined to agree with you....

4 of my boys live in these cages (in pairs obviously) and for 2 boys these cages are a perfect size - when 3 of my pigs occupied one they used to run laps every night - so a perfectly adequate size for 3.... unless of course you have 3 stroppy girls! :p
