For a month or so now Jupiter has been having irritated gums. It comes and goes and you know when it's bothering him as he starts smacking his lips and pushing his tongue against his lower front teeth. He's been to see the vets but they can't see/feel anything out of the ordinary (other than the redness). Wondering if anyone had any ideas.

Don’t know what could cause this. Is their weight stable? I suppose you will just have to monitor it to make sure it doesn’t get worse. Hopefully it will get better on its own.

His weight has stayed stable. He's not dropping food or favouring one part of his mouth over the other. I have checked everything in his cage and have tried scraping around his gum to see if there was any thread, but nothing.
