Morning everyone. I Have posted a few questions on here and you have always helped me loads so I am hoping you can help me again, hopefully one day I will be in a position to help others! I have a approx 6 month old mt ale piggy which was bought from a petshop (before i knew better), he was stuck in a tiny cage on his own labelled as a bully who should never be housed with other piggys! I bought him as i felt so sorry for him and he has gone from being scared stiff to loving his morning strokes and he is happy to be held etc. If he has had enough he does let us know, he noses butts our hands off him etc. In the meantime a lady I know bought 2 baby piggys and had them housed in 80cm cage (boars), one of them had patches of fur missing which they were treated for ringworm by a pdsa vet. My friend decided that she needed a break from them and I offered to look after them for her. I had 2 piggys from the same litter who were fine so wasn't convinced it was ringworm but treated them all in case. While they were with me they were still in the small cage and i noticed that one of the piggys seemed to be bossing the other one around to the point that the other wasnt getting alot of food, then one night as I was about to go to bed they had a fight and drew blood. We seperated and i put the larger one into a spare cage. Although the smaller one seemed to be the boss it was him who came off worse in the fight! My friend then said that she would like one of the piggys back but didnt feel she wanted them both as she didnt have room for two cages. I said I would have one of them. They had the smaller one leaving me with the who seemed as though he was the less dominant one. I now have 2 seperate male piggys and would love to introduce them but not sure when would be a good time, how to do it best and what size indoor housing would be best (dont really want C&C cages though. The younger piggy I have is about 10 weeks. If this is a bad idea just tell me I dont mind just want my piggies to be happy xx

Introduce them soon as if the younger one isn't injured from the fight still. Introduce on a nuetral territory and make sure they both have their own hides. In the run in the garden is usually best because of all the different smells.

Only seperate if blood is drawn, this happened to my two and it was the baby being dominant. Its pretty much 50/50 as to whether it will work. Before I put my adult male with another baby (before I lost the baby to a fox) and they got on like father and son.

Its worth a try :)

great thank you, i was hoping to try this weekend. I want to get a new cage tho as the one i have is 120cm and i am not sure if this big enough for 2 boars xx
