Please help just tried to introduce to boars and seemed ok but then start fighting, think I made it wrong by bringing new one in his little home ,I'm so upset what shall I do?

They have to be introduced on neutral territory (for example a bathroom floor). If you put one in the others 'home' they'll get territorial. When you then put them in a cage it needs to be completely clean (disinfected if necessary) to get rid of all scents/odours, new/clean bedding and have 2 of everything (bottles, bowls etc).

I did it was kitchen floor. Can I try again today or I shoud get shampoo and bath them together tomorrow?

Hi! Give them at least a day or two to cool down and try again on neutral ground after a shared bath with the same shampoo. It helps to wash off any excess testosterone that has been liberally sprayed all over each other, so they can start out with a clean slate.

However, a stable boar bond is based on character compatibility and if that is not there, you won't have success. Boars usually won't go back together after a serious bloody fight with bites. Please be also aware that boars take longer to bond than sows; fights can happen anytime during the first two weeks or so.

If things don't work out between your two boys, you may have to consider alternative options.

Will try bath tomorrow then. They seemed ok at the beginning,I just shouldn't bring the youngster in his little home,he was just protecting I think. Is 3 months old still counts as baby or not anymore?

He is getting close to the age where the hormones start to hit.

I never bathed my first one, don't know how to do it really. Can * give me some tips? For both

Wasn't that bad, think its just me being to scared. I think I did mistake by putting youngster in his little house on the neutral territory, they seemed ok for first 30 min. And after youngster went to his little house and older one came in and then the young one bite off some off other one fur so I stopped.how many times I can introduce them, is second time has to be the last one? Just scarred if they won't get on second time, but I think I should be more brave to watch them, think its my fault:(

Well a bonding bath may help. If they do not get on after that I think you may have to house them apart. You have to make sure all the houses and little things are clean so they do not have one of their scent on as they will fight over them. Did you see the links on bathing guinea pigs?

Thanks, now I got the idea of how to give a bath.but when there are two do I have to wash one first then other one or should try to do them both the same time? And the other thing is my older one don't live in the cage lives in room,so I can't really clean absolutely everything, the carpet will still smell of him

As it will help them to bond you can try washing them together but if you are nervous then do it one at a time. Do you have the right shampoo? I use gorgeous guineas for mine.

Ok but I want to bath them tomorrow and I have seen shampoo for guinea pigs in pet shop, will that be ok?
