Hi Guys,
I have been looking through the pages on this forum but have not really come across what I am looking for.
I have 2 questions.
I have a 9 month old Guinea called Del. He seems very big for his age. When I first got him I was told to feed him with pellet like food which he seems to like but he eats it way too fast. I also provide him with other treats like fruit, veg and hay.
Once Del has finished with his pellets, do I need to fill his bowl up again? I am worried that I am feeding him too much and as I say, for 9mths old, he is rather large.
My second question.
I have just purchased another guinea which is about 3mths old, his name is Rodders. I have been introducing them in a neutral are and all seems fine. When I put Rodders in the same cage as Del everything seems fine but every now and then, Del walks around the cage very slowly making a purring noise, this then make Rodders squeak. They often smell each others behind.
Is this natural? I have noticed sometime that Del does push Rodders out of the way sometime but they have not physically injured one and other.
Thank you for your time
