HI,

I currently have two boars living in my house but seperately, as one is my sisters and one is mine. I have talked her into getting them together in the same cage as they will be happier i believe. I have just made a c&c cage and am just waiting for my piggybedspreads before i get them together. I was wondering if anyone had any hints or suggestions for introducing my two boys and getting them into the same cage?

Any help would be appreciated.

Steph, Ollie and Oscar!

Wiebke's guide is really good. I used it when introducing my two boars Spike and Stripes. It's a good idea to have two of everything; hay racks, food bowls, water bottles, beds! Make sure everything has an entrance and an exit so they can't block each other in. For the first couple of weeks I gave them their veggies in a litter tray mixed in with some hay because Stripes go so distressed when Spike came near him when he was eating. It made them work for their food and distracted them from each other.
Also a bath together first and disinfect the house and everything and introduce on neutral ground.
Best of luck with the pairing. Paws and fingers crossed it's a success.

I totally agree with the above Wiebkes guide is the best way I introduced by Baby Boar to my 2 year old with this advise after I had some bad advice Good luck and Keep us posted :))
