It’s been a year of change in our household - we went from 5 piggies living in 2 cages down to 3 piggies living in a 7 x 2 c and c. I had considered getting a boar neutered to live with my sows in the new year and was waiting to see who came into rescue.

However, my plans were suddenly altered when this lovely little lady came into the rescue just before Xmas. Sylvia had been living alone before being surrendered. Her fur was matted and dirty and she needed a bath and serious haircut to remove the knots. Her foster dad fell in love with her but was worried that she was depressed being alone. There were no potential adopters in the offing so she came on a date here to see if Holly, Mabel and Poppy would accept her into their herd. And they did .

She’s a very sweet natured little lady. Easy to handle and loves a cuddle. She has obviously been well loved by her previous owners as she is so comfortable with humans. She’s still finding her way in my little group of piggies but they are a gentle bunch and she is learning how to be a piggy again. Not yet heard her wheek, but have seen her popcorn and doing a few zoomies.

Awww! Welcome lovely lady - she's beautiful Vicki! How lovely to see her popcorning and zooming already.

Aww i just love your herd, sylvia is no exception to the others with her gorgeous looks & lovely personality.
I'm sure she'll flourish with you  - i just love her fluffed hairdo look
congratulations on your new addition :luv:

Hello Super Sylvia you gorgeous girl, lovely to see how pretty you are. You’ll have a wonderful time with Holly, Mabel & Poppy, welcome :luv: xx

I've got to ask btw, is there a crest on her head? Part coronet or part sheltie?

She does indeed have a crest. She does look part sheltie but will wait to see how her coat grows out following her de-matting haircut. Her foster carer tells me the matts had been coated in oil when he took her in -presumably in an attempt to clean them or detangle them? He had to cut great chunks out.
She’s an angel to brush, so I hope that as her hair grows we can get some beautiful photos of her coiffed locks.

About the oil - it's possible, but Blitzen's coat gets quite oily if it's matted for some reason. Which only makes it more difficult to brush out, lol. She's got quite a set of locks already though, I'd love to see them grown out.

Awe, beautiful little lady!:love: Fabulous news your girls have accepted Silva as part of the herd :luv: xx
