piglet is 4 months and chip is 2 1/2 months theyve been living together now for just over 2 weeks there still fighting quiet a bit nothing majour to worry about but it does wake me up at night when there squeeking at each other and running after each other, their cage is plenty big enough and lots to do in it any idea/ advice on how long this could go on for and ways to stop it maybe.

My two sows have lived together for years (only recently had to separate) and this sort of thing happened quite a lot. One would chase the other and try to mount the other probably trying to assert dominance. It sounds much worse than it looks. With them both being quite young they are probably still just settling in.

Keep and eye on them to make sure they are not fighting and hurting one another e.g. bleeding etc.

They're all different so it's anyone's guess when they will sort it out. Leave them to it, stressful as it is. My boys Ted and Dougal carried on like that for about 6 months and are now very happy together. It looks awful to us but it's normal behavior. I used to hate it so i do sympathise mallethead My other 2 ended up seperated because blood was drawn and it got very nasty. But this doesnt mean yours will, just keep an eye but rumbling, mounting, squealing, chattering, kicking and even nipping are normal. All you can do is provide adequate space, food and hideys etc. Keep smiling :)

As long as there are no serious fights or one girl showing signs of weight loss/depression you have to let them be. It will hopefully settle down eventually; some pigies take longer than others.
