So after taking on my boy Baby Edgar (grey) from a friend who couldn't care for him any more, it wasn't long before I decided he may like a companion (even though he's been pretty happy by himself, I thought he may like the company) so along came my new rescue pig, Percy! (brown and white) I have a 4x4 c&c cage set up with a divider down the middle for now which I will leave up for around a week and then I'll take it out as long as all is going well... So here they are... IMG_20200125_211413_830.webpSnapchat-1693180075.webpSnapchat-1887194819.webp

Aw, both your piggies are gorgeous x
Donā€™t try and bond them in their C&C cage, please do it in a completely neutral area, have a look at the bonding guide, hope it goes well x

Oh yes well spotted @Bill & Ted!

@*Roger*Jasper* - you canā€™t just take the divider out and let them have the whole cage straight off. Given they have been living in the cage divided, it is no longer neutral and when one piggy enters the other half it will likely be seen as a territory invasion and cause problems. You need to set up a completely new neutral bonding pen, put them both in it and while they are in there (which could be up to many hours) you will need to remove the divider in their cage and completely clean it down removing all scents of either piggy and rearrange so that it isnā€™t seen as the same territory by either piggy. This is the bonding guide and procedure that has been referred to Bonding and Interaction: Illustrated social behaviours and bonding dynamics
