i bout 2 piggys the othe day, both male. never kept any before, have just a standard nero 3 cage so nothing spectaculer, i was just curious of if in the future i wanted more, n had a bigger cage, could i put in another male pig? or are they just going to have to stay as a pair for ever ? will they fight if i was to introduce another to them ?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

How old are your two boys? A Nero 3 will only be big enough until they are 3/4 months old, then they will need a cage of at least 4ft x 2ft, the bigger the better.

A pair of bonded males is the best bet - trying to introduce another is very tricky, the biggest problem is that it can cause the pair to fall out and you end up with 3 single males.

I'm very pleased you are asking these questons before you make a decision.

Your cage will be fine whilst they are young, but then you will really need a 4' one for your lads as they grow, and need more space to gallop around. Three boars living together isn't impossible, but can be tricky, it often doesn't work, and then none end up getting on. This is why we all end up with loads of cages! lol. Hope your little ones are ok. xx

i have them out most the day in a indoor run thing anyway, and am going to buy a out door cage and run for the summer months and bring them inside when weathers bad or through the winter, after looking through lots of websites i have took a real liking to the c&c cage, so i will probly get one of those once they get bigger as they look so nice.
