Hi and welcome!

I am very sorry for your loss. Most guinea pigs are very very withdrawn for a few days. If they stop eating and are giving up, we speak of acute pining - that is an emergency situation.

Could you please add your country, state or (for the UK) your county or city to your details, as any advice largely depends on your local options.
By far the safest way to find a new friend of Peppa's liking is by dating her under expert supervision at one of our recommended rescues; this would mean that you come home only with a companion that has been accepted. You can look at both sows or neutered boars. Age and gender are much less important than mutual liking, which is the key to a happy companionship. By adopting from a good rescue you have the insurance that any guinea pig is totally healthy and guaranteed not pregnant, and you will always have got the rescue to fall back on. We may be able to give you recommendations if we know your general area.

I have already posted our tips on what you can do for a bereaved piggy in the heat wave thread, but here is the link again: https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/looking-after-a-bereaved-piggy.110463/

You are welcome to post a tribute to Peppa's sister in our Rainbow Bridge section if and whenever it feels right for you.
