Introducing a new Boar

[Cavy chaos]

My beloved boar, Tangle, died in December and girls are fighting and one in particular is being bullied and having hair pulled out. If I get another neutered boar will the girls take to him? There arent many neutered boars at the rescue so I will have to get one and have the neuter and then try and introduce him. What will the success be of introducing any neutered boar?

I’m sorry to hear that.

Unfortunately if the relationship between your girls is failing, adding a boar will not fix things. The boar is likely to side with just one of the girls and the other will still be left out/bullied.

If their bond is genuinely failing, then separating them (with the potential of getting two boars - one for each) may become necessary.
