So I adopted a new guinea pig. He is male and about 8 months old. He was in quarentine for a couple weeks and then we finally were able to introduce him to V.

V was wheeking in his cage as soon as he saw the new guinea pig. He was so excited. We did what we were supposed to do, and put them on neutral grounds. V sniffed him and was chutting. The other guinea pig sniffed him back and tried to hump him. They soon were aggresively sniffing each other, they were chutting bad, and then their fur raised up. We tried to seperate them, but before we got to them, V bit him and took out some fur. No blood was drawn, but it did scare us.

So does that mean that it didn't end well and that they aren't going to be friends, or should I give it more time and try again later? :...

Oh dear :( that doesnt sound like it went to well, and must have been pretty frightening for you too.
I'm sure someone with more experience of introducing boars will be along to help you, but I dont think it sounds great.... :( Sorry xx

it's worth trying again if no blood was shed. Could you perhaps partition the neutral ground with some grids or a pen? For example, when 2 of my boars fell out and i wanted to re-bond them i took the grids from the play pen and put a partition across my living room and that way they could see each other and smell and talk but neither is a threat to the other. If you can do this it would probably help as they can get to know each other. Depending on the reaction you can do this several times or like I did, leave them like it for a few hours then remove the partition.

Other things to try are setting up their cages side by side so again, they can get to know each other but won't be able to harm each other, and a bonding bath so they go through the bath together and will often seek comfort from the others presence and it also means they smell the same.
Hope this helps and welcome to the forum! :)
