New Born Pup
Hi there
Sorry it's me again. My anxiety and observation levels are high after Bellas bladder stone removal op last week so I'm noticing and worrying about everything!
Bellas op went well. The bladder stone was huge! However she recovered quickly and was eating by herself within the day after the op. Her wound has healed so incredibly well too. She is on gabapentin x2 daily, metacam x2 daily, vetpro urinary tract capsules 1/3 capsules once daily and azithromycin x1 daily. I am also feeding her critical care 25ml a day and I can feel a difference in her weight already. She is happy and squeaking like crazy for food (or the metacam! ). She is able to climb up on things and is generally happy within herself, pooping and eating just fine. However when I'm sitting her on my lap to start giving her medicine, I can feel her shaking. It's just intermittently. It's the same shake you would get if incredibly cold which last about 2 seconds at a time. She isn't cold and I can't imagine she is in pain with all her medication. But I'm obviously worried as I read that shaking can be a sign of pain or illness. Can anyone help explain or does anyone else's guinea pugs do this occasionally? Thanks
