I am thinking of buying an interlocking play mat that I will join together and use as the floor for my guinea pig's indoor set up. The grass is nearly all eaten and my Mum doesn't want it being completely ruined :)) So I thought I'd make an indoor set up for my piggies. However, I need good flooring but not fleece, as I tried that before and it stank. :)) So does anyone use play mats as flooring in a c+c cage or indoor set up? If you do, would you reccomend it? The mats are made of foam so what happens when your guinea pigs wee? ;) If you don't use them but have an opinion on them then please share it! Thanks. :)

They had them on offer in Asda. :))

Good idea! :)

I don't know about the pee though? If they're foam they may be absorbant?

What about a waterproof tablecloth or something which can be wiped clean?

You could use the interlocking play mats and just put some tarpaulin or something over the top to protect them and the floor.

We use the waterproof tablecloths you buy off the roll from Dunelms. There is some in my latest pic of my 4 on "Well they've Met".

You would still need something over it though otherwise it would be like a paddling pool, I would think you could put fleece over the top and shake it then put it in the washer.
