I was just wundering, do guinea pigs no that your are the mam talking to them? + that you love them, and do they no what a cuddle is + a kiss?

My guys and gals know that it is me, and definately know when I have veg! They are always more skittish whne it is not just me in the sheds and they are also more vocal.

Strangest thing is Crimp and Harrison -Kiki (who is one of sophies sponsor pigs) came in pregnant and had two boys here, I saw them born and cared for them every day for six months until they found a home, they come back to stay while their Mum is on holiday and they refuse to talk to me running away acting generally skittish and grumpy just wanting food and not much cudling but as soon as their mum comes round the back to collect them they run up to her sitting still to be picked up and get cuddles so yes I would definately say they know who their piggy mums are. Shirley spoils them rotten and they have al ovely home with her and boy do they appreciate it they only have eyes for their mummy now, I am just an afterthought (which is kinda nice in a strange way :) )

Mie know me too, when i come in Bandit & Smokey stick there little heads up sniffing with there piggy lips showingx)x) and they popcorn sometimes too but when OH walks in they hide lol, they also love hugs and kisses off both of us but when someone not very known to them pats them they get a little quite and sometimes chatter there teeth:(|)

They can definitely recognise and remember different people.

My first lot, who I let roam free in the garden over winter for short supervised daily "walkies" came bounding up to me right across the garden as soon as they heard me putting up the run for the first in spring and couldn't get back in fast enough! :)):)):))

Definitely a good memory!
