can you use wood ?

We have loads of wood left over and wondered if we could use it.

wood might soke up the urine and begin to smell?
Go onto dunelm mill website they have waterproof table top covers (one even has a straw pattern) its easy to cut and bend and you can order the size you need.
Hope this helped a little bit.

how weird my mum just suggested that as its waterproof.

I was thinking of sticking it down then using a layer of newspaper a layer of towel and then a fleece.

Is it for a run or to go in the cage? we use the plastic tablecloth as a flooring to cover the living room carpet as the pigs are free range in there. It works well.

for our c&c instead of correx.

Then using newspaper and towels and fleece :)

Can you link me to the dunelm site.

I used wood under my pigs cage. I had a piece of laminate flooring under it to keep the pee off. If any pee gets on the wood it molds and smell nasty.

I Would NOT recommend using wood under your pig cage!

You can use wood if you cover it with something waterproof. I built a wood cage and cover the floor with vinyl flooring (like the floors in kitchen or bathroom).

you could make a wooden tray and line it with the suggested waterproof fabric from dunelm, you would need some aquarium sealant to seal any raw edge's (around £5 for a small tube completely animal safe once dry tho stink's when wet) i used all the above on my hamster habitat
