Question is in the title really!
Just wanted to know how many people keep their Guinea Pigs inside and how many people keep them outside?

Thanks

My lot live in the Great Outdoors :)

Although having then in last night (whilst they were met for the first time) made me remember how much I miss them being in. When we move they will definatley become indoor piggies :)

Definitely indoors - the piggies are a big part of my life as I'm working from home.

definitely inside for us as well. They are more interactive in our lives. They are in c&c cage near the dining table and so the kids sit there and watch them playing etc and I can see from the sofa (its a through lounge!) I love listening to them chatting etc.

indoors for me as i think i can keep a better eye on them rolleyes
plus they are tamer in my experience indoors, but its what ever suits you and your piggies that matters x

Mine are outdoors, cos I live with my parents. But to be honest, if I had my own palce I'd still keep them outside most days from spring-autumn, and just bring them in at night or in winter maybe. They love being outside, but it'd be nice to have them inside in the evenings too, and not to have to worry about cold weather. :)

Mine are moving to their new homes in the shed soon though. :)

I live with my parents so mine are outside but Monty guinea is in my room, I'm working on my parents about my other 2 guineas - ready for winter - Id just so love to have them in the spare room but thats the general store room and Dad's office and next to parents bedroom so not sure Il win on this one!

Leo bunny seems happy outside Id love him inside but am less worried about him than the other guineas as he has his winter coat.

Also looking at the garage if I clear it but it's dark in there and not heated and until it's rewired can't do much there.

If I had my own house they would be indoors, the guineas and Leo over winter if very cold.

Indoors for me too. I even worry when they're not in my bedroom, I would have to go camp outside with them if they were ever moved outside. :))

It's the one thing that has stuck fast since the very first day I had guineas. I remember saying very, very clearly that the guinea pig is not living outside. Everything else has changed since then, except that.

Mine live indoors, although the ones I had when I was younger lived outside very happily. :)

Mine are indoor piggies in our living room. I couldn't bear for them to live outside as so many of my neighbours have cats. Plus I think its good for them to be able to spend more time with the humans, and it is always funny to hear their reaction when I open the fridge door.

mine inside defo always will be, i would miss them too much outside, and i also Lx)VE the wheeking and scuffling about lol x

Mine live outside, in their hutches, the hutches come into the conservatory in winter though as it does get a bit chilly!

Mine are inside... Swedish winters are too long, dark and cold. I would not spend much time with them if I had to don polar equipment to hang out.

I would love a safe and sheltered outdoor hutch/run for those really nice summer weeks though... but I live in a flat and I don't think my mum would agree to have something take up space in her little yard that would only be used for three weeks a year :))

Mine are indoors as we live in a big block of flats.

Mine are outside atm, my missus must be the only person i know who doesnt like the squeaking!

I'm working on getting them in the new room though ;)

Andy

I have five indoors, and then my newest three live in the shed which they share with my rabbit (seperate though obviously)

so i have a mixture of both and they do great (:

Both! Indoors in winter and wet weather weeks/days and outdoors in the summer :)

My two live outdoors. In a hutch and run during the summer and in a heated shed in the winter. They're very spoilt boys!

I'm so jealous of people who get to have them indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather. :) Mine love being outdoors, in the fresh air, with loads of interesting things to see, like birds and cows and dogs and cats :)) They love to say hello to the other animals and sniff them. But I do hate going out on horrible cold days in the winter, but just something I have to put up with! :))

Dexter and Earnie live in a hutch outdoors. They are just outside the back door however which is always open in the summer. To be honest, they're not loud squeakers but they do run around so fast that they kick their shavings out frequently.

My husband is allergic but has always had piggies and loves them to bits so he just puts up with it. It does mean we won't ever be able to bring them in the house mind.

Mine are kept outside. They are still as tame as any other piggy too :)

They also squeek their darn heads off when they hear me rustle through bags in the kitchen so then I have to find something for them :P
And when I come into the garden after coming back from the horse, they squeek their heads off in the run/hutch (depending if I've put them out or not) demanding for dandelion leaves hehee x)x)

Thanks

Thanks for all replies:)

Sorry about the no 'both' option!

We are looking into Guinea Pigs and we are wanting to house them outside(no space inside really) But it seems a lot more people house them inside!
They would be outside but in a shed i think.
