Quick question
Is it okay to put my guineas out during the day and keep them in at night? I know it is winter but I wouldnt want them to get too cold, now it has begun to get really cold.

Hi!

I put my boys out to grass after the sun has been on it and dried it about lunch time, then i get them back in about 4/4.30 i leave a blanket in the run so they can sit on it if they get chilly, but them seem to like it.
I think you have to see how long you get the sun for in the garden, to see what time you put them out and get them in.

Not if you transfer them from a warm house into a cold hutch.

Ideally, the hutch should be in a frostfree, but not fully heated space or protected accordingly with a hutch hugger (there have been several threads about preparing your hutch for winter). Or you need to bring the piggies indoors now and keep them there all winter long.

Big differences in temperatures can make piggies susceptible ro illness.
