Hi,

I am in the process of introducing Monty and Stanley to each other today. The cage is clean, disinfected, fresh bedding, fresh food, furniture re-arranged and 2 of everything.
Monty is 5 months and Stanley is 9 weeks. I have them in the bathroom right now (neutral territory) with a plate of food, veg and hay. Monty is rumbling, wiggle bottom and mounting some of the time, Stanley is squeaking lowly. They are both eating the plate of hay and veg, and sometimes pushing each others heads from the side. Both of them have been dragging their behinds then sniffing where the other has done it. Stanley has also now started mounting. The introduction started half an hr ago. The mounting of each other has got more frequent, with Stanley the younger one doing it more than Monty. Monty just replied by doing a bit of wee-squirting at him! Stanley is now constantly trying to mount Monty and monty is pushing him off everytime. Would you say it's ok to put them in the cage with each other? I'm worried Monty might start to get annoyed with Stanley for his constant mounting!
This is the first time i've introduced piggies so I don't want it to end in tears if I put them in the cage together too soon!
Thanks, Jenny

I'm still unsure what to do! Everything appears to be ok except for Stanley mounting Monty all the time! Stanley is squeaking and Monty is rumbling, they stop and eat for a bit then Stanley starts the mounting again! Poor Monty! I'm worried Monty will start getting very wound up over Stanley's attempts to be on top of him all the time and I don't want him to turn on Stanley or end up being very stressed from it all :(
